Today the student needed help completing his Spanish projects. For the first project he wrote sentence about himself describing what he likes and does not like. On the back he composed a poem following the format given by his teacher using his own adjectives. We discussed how Spanish sentences have the noun first then followed by the adjective. He seems to be doing well. I asked about his Science project which could be turned in early for extra points.

The student and I had a great session! We reviewed his biology notes and made note cards. We did his biology homework. He seems to be doing much better. With the remaining time, we worked on his algebra extra credit.

Yesterday the student and I created 15 sentences to go along with the Odyssey. The purpose of creating the questions was to give to another student in the class for a test. Yesterday was a great session.

Today the student and I went over parts of his packet that had questions on carbohydrates, nucleic acids, proteins and lipids. We also covered enzymes and the three factors that affect enzymes: pH, temperature, and enzyme/substrate concentration. We also covered basic chemistry such as acids and bases, solutes/solvents, protons/neutrons/electrons, and structural/molecular formulas. We also went over some of her practice questions and we completed more of her Biochemistry packet. Overall the session was successful.

At the beginning of the session, the student was paying attention extremely well. He did the first two pages of his math homework relatively fast. At the end of the session, he read his book for English and started answering some of his HW questions.

Today was spent finishing the 3D model for the student's social studies fair project, and touching up the board. We also had him practice his presentation. The 3D model was built with a Lego box covered in construction paper as a base, a Lego created white house, handmade signs, glued natural grass, and Lego protesters.
