I am a graduate of Whitman College, where I received a B.A. degree in History, with minor degrees in English and Economics. I received master's degrees from the London School of Economics (Economics/Economic History) and the University of Washington (History). I have taught and tutored young adults and adults in various subjects, but my favorite subjects are probably History, English, and High School Economics. My approach to education is to find ways to teach that align with students' needs, interests, and personalities. Learning should be fun and open doors that improve the quality of life. In my spare time, I enjoy yardwork, exercise, reading, and an occasional cup of tea.
