Certified Tutor

I am a senior at Skidmore College working toward my Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Spanish. My passion for helping students stems from my own experiences as a student, where I've dealt with the challenges of learning firsthand. This drives me to support younger generations in developing strong writing, grammar, and time management skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. With experience as a Writing Center tutor at Skidmore and as a former summer camp counselor, I have honed my ability to connect with students and cater to their individual needs. I tutor students across various subjects, focusing on English grammar and essay writing, with a particular fondness for working with ESL and ELL students. My teaching philosophy centers on adaptability; I believe in meeting students where they are and collaboratively developing a plan that suits their learning style, whether that involves visual aids or thoughtful discussions. Outside of academia, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and cooking with my friends and family.
