I am a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), where I received my PhD in Environmental Health Sciences. My research focused on the impacts of invasion on grassland ecosystems. I am super passionate about Ecology, the research process, and teaching. Broadly, I am very interested in the effects of global change, including climate change, on ecosystems around the world. Before getting my PhD, I graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.S. degree in Biology and B.A. in Environmental Studies. I have extensive coding experience in R, and am passionate about statistics and data analyses. I love working with students, and teaching was one of my favorite components of my graduate education. I also have experience helping with college/graduate school applications, and the writing process in general, including scientific writing. I have personally mentored 15 undergraduate students and many high school students.

I love all things outdoors - hiking, traveling, being in nature. I love my kids and family, animals, especially my two cats, and reading. I have a huge sweet tooth as well, and am a sucker for a good Disney movie! And, Harry Potter is my favorite movie/book series!
