Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Huston-Tillotson College and Lamar University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and a Masters in Education and in School Counseling. I am excited to be able to tutor students to meet progress in their academic studies as well as their educational experience.
I have tutored elementary/middle school students for over 10 years and have been an educator for 20 years. While I tutor the subjects Reading and Language Arts, I am most passionate about Writing. In my experience I have helped struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests prepping for the Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a strong believer of how important it is to get a good education and I try to groom my students to be life long learners as well as successful leaders. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, shopping, and spending time with family. My favorite color is yellow. My favorite food is seafood and my favorite animal is a dolphin. Lastly, I love reading books by Patricia Polacco; especially the book titled Chicken Sunday.
