Certified Tutor

I am a Credentialed Teacher with a specialty in working with students with learning difficulties, learning disabled, reluctant readers, building confidence in areas where students have had difficulties reaching grade level standards. I am AVID trained and certified teacher and use these strategies to engage and support students in their learning needs.
I am most passionate about building my students confidence areas they struggle with and watching them grow. I tutor students in reading, writing, and math, including decoding/phonemic awareness skills, essay writing/editing, and common core math. I also work with students acquiring English as a second language and build their speaking and writing proficiency.

I received my undergraduate degree from California State University - Fullerton and my MA Ed. from Concordia University, Irvine. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and dogs.
