What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe in teaching a "growth" mindset in regards to one's own personal knowledge and how much one can truly learn. I have always viewed the human brain as a malleable muscle similar to any other muscle within the human body. The brain can always grow stronger through consistent and efficient exercise and practice. Therefore, I think it's completely healthy to have to encounter challenging and difficult academic situations, as they should be seen as nothing more than another intellectual obstacle to overcome. Teaching with a "growth" mindset can leave you feeling more inspired as well as comfortable with dealing with academic difficulties. Instead of viewing the inability to immediately understand something as an innate "stupidity", it's better to view it feeling hopeful and determined when having to face a difficulty knowing that, with some more practice and exercise, the challenge can and will be overcome.
