Certified Tutor

I am currently a PhD student at Southern Illinois University Carbondale(SIUC). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance from Dordt College and my Masters of Arts in Economics from Eastern Illinois University. I have had the necessary experience in tutoring a diverse range of students, both at the undergraduate and the graduate level since my stay at SIUC. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Finance. My teaching philosophy is simple: make learning fun and communication is key! I believe a sound tutor is one who is able to communicate effectively with a student and develop a mutual understanding. I admire education and I try to impart this admiration to all my students. I enjoy reading books on philosophy and spiritualism, hiking, soccer, and chess during my spare time.
