Certified Tutor

I graduated from Stony Brook University in May 2014 with a B.S. Degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. I've had a great experience tutoring and assisting students in math. My teaching experience lies in math of any kind, ranging from Middle School Math to AB Calculus. My favorite subject to tutor would definitely be Statistics, since I have acted as a Teacher's Assistant for a statistics course and just feel very comfortable with that material. Additionally it's where my roots lie, and will always hold a little sentimental value to me. In such a position, I discovered my style of teaching, which is to teach by example; running through a problem, going over what we did in more detail, and then displaying alternate paths to reach the same answer. Outside of mathematics, I am very passionate about video games, playing a particular franchise or two on a high competitive level, and also stream tournaments on Long Island. Computer technology, creative thinking, and Soccer round up my main interest pool. I'm not the kind of character to get mad or grow impatient. I teach with a smile, and look forward to passing my knowledge onto other students!
