My teaching philosophy is based on the development of every child, through building independence, self-confidence, and a thirst for learning. I believe that children learn through first hand experiences and stimulating environments, which make the learning personal and relevant to each individual.
Collaboratively, throughout my career, I have planned for many exciting learning opportunities to ensure children are stimulated and interested in what they are being taught. The children in my care are encouraged to reflect on their progress and achievements. I, too, recognise the importance of being a reflective practitioner and understand that professional development enables many valuable approaches and attitudes to be brought into the classroom.
Along with my unwavering commitment to optimising student success; my passion, enthusiasm and drive to teach have all guided me towards providing a rich and fulfilling experience for those involved. I am confident that my experience equips me well for a new opportunity in an innovative environment and I know that I would undoubtedly thrive in a new setting.

I am an avid reader, particularly of children’s fiction, and can always make enticing recommendations for my pupils. As an arts and craft enthusiast, I enjoy undertaking projects at home to add personalised home decor items around my home and as gifts for friends and family. I have utilised my passion when running a successful after school art club for Year 3 and 4 pupils. This not only allows me to express my creativity but also enables children with a passion for this area to really come to life outside of the curriculum classroom. I value the importance of health and exercise and this is reflected in my practice. I go for regular runs and enjoy swimming in my free time.
