Certified Tutor

I am a 2018 Fall graduate of Iowa State University. I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education with endorsements in Reading and English Language Arts (ELA). Since graduation, I have spent my time teaching in a second grade classroom where I discovered my love for teaching math, reading, and ELA to students striving to succeed in their general education classrooms. During my time in the general education classroom, I had the opportunity to learn from other educators and students as well. I pride myself in being a learner first before anything else. It's how I am able to get better at what I do!
I grew up bilingual in both English and Spanish. I have utilized both skills in the classroom to supplement the learning of Spanish-English bilingual speakers and learners in all general education areas as well as other bilingual or English Language Learners!
I am a huge proponent of education and believe everyone should learn something new everyday! In my spare time, I love to read, snuggle with my dog and husband, workout, and spend time outdoors.
