Certified Tutor

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature (with a minor in linguistics and a TESOL certification) from Mississippi State University in 2020. I have extensive experience tutoring and teaching students looking to improve their English language skills. I am currently a writing tutor at Santa Fe Community College.

As an undergraduate, I volunteered as a conversation partner to international students and tutored kindergarten English language learners in Mississippi. Since graduation, I've taught Korean high school students and tutored Korean adult learners from beginner English to advanced levels. I'm available to tutor from middle school English topics to graduate school level humanities classes.

I tutor in any topics related to English, Literature, Linguistics, and Writing, and I am most passionate about teaching English to speakers of other languages. To me, education and teaching mean open dialogue between students and teachers. I love being able to learn from students just as much as I hope students learn from me. Furthermore, I believe in the power of language and literature to widen people's world and perspective.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring parks and nature, reading, playing piano, and learning languages (for fun! I am fluent in Tagalog and Indonesian and am currently learning Korean, Spanish, and Mandarin).
