I have six years of experience working in the education field as a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teacher. I firmly believe that every child is entitled to an enriching education and should be shown respect. My goal is to motivate students in discovering their strengths, abilities, and interest that will inspire them to grow daily. I believe as an educator I am always growing and learning new strategies to create the best learning environment for my students. I believe that it is my job to create strong working relationships with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
I possess strong classroom management skills that move students towards independence and self-reflection. I believe that students are in charge of their own learning and are capable of setting goals, creating action plans, and evaluating their success. I believe by building relationships with students I create a safe, nurturing learning environment where my students have opportunities for educational and personal growth. My ultimate goal is to see student move towards self-motivation.
Along with my skills, I will bring creative, positive energy to each lesson. I had to become successful at time management, multi-tasking, and differentiation to succeed. With a combination of enthusiasm, commitment, and drive, I am confident that I will fit in as a excellent tutor for all elementary school subjects. For example, reading, writing, math, science and social studies.
