Certified Tutor

I graduated from Roanoke College and am a certified Elementary School teacher (and ESL teacher) in Virginia and have taught 3rd and 4th grade. I love teaching math, reading, science, and social studies. I specifically love adventure stories, Virginia history, and finding new ways to solve math problems! Each child learns differently and has different strengths and weaknesses, such as some children may be advanced in reading while others have dyslexia and struggle with reading, but every child is capable of learning. In order to guarantee that every child is learning, I individualize the curriculum to each student based off of his or her learning profiles
and motivate the students so that they are encouraged, eager, and excited to learn. Not only this, but the children are able to see the improvement that they are making.
