Certified Tutor

I am a senior at Roanoke College, a small liberals arts college in Virginia, majoring in Political Science with a minor in U.S. History. I have prior experience working as a Writing Center tutor at Roanoke, tutoring students at all stages in the writing process as well as helping students prepare for oral presentations. I have also been an Academic Coach, in which I was paired with students who needed more guidance in adjusting to college coursework and academic expectations. Though I have primarily worked with college students, I love working with students of all ages and abilities. I am passionate about writing, research, and the humanities. I can adjust plans and lessons according to the student's learning style and habits while also emphasizing long-term growth and progress. I also took the GRE at the end of last summer and scored well in the Verbal and Analytical Writing sections. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, watching movies, indoor cycling and traveling.
