Certified Tutor
Teaching and learning are my passions! I worked as an instructor and administrator in both public and private schools for over 40 years and loved it. I also was an adjunct faculty member at a number of Universities in Southern California teaching topics related to special education.
My work as a teacher was with students with disabilities and adjudicated youth. I feel my success in this field was due to a creative mind, an refusal to give up and a desire to make a difference in the lives of kids that had few resources outside the school. I am fair and fun and managing behavior in a positive way is a specialty of mine. I especially enjoy opening the door to the joy of reading to students; it is magic.
I am retired now and truly miss the contact with students of all ages. Tutoring is an opportunity for me to welcome that joy back into my life.
