Certified Tutor

I am a second year medical student in the new MD program at Nova Southeastern University. I began tutoring students on a volunteer basis when I was in high school and was employed by a tutoring agency while in college. I have experience working with students in Math, Sciences (Biology & Chemistry), and Spanish and have experience tutoring students in Elementary, Middle, and High School as well as college. I also have experience with SAT and ACT prep as I obtained high scores on those standardized tests as well as the MCAT (medical school admissions exams).

My goal is to help your student succeed. I like to help students move from a point where they need lessons and reteaching provided to a point where they become Masters of their own learning. Not only do I want students who work with me to gain competency in content, but I enjoy helping them learn how to identify areas of strength and weakness academically, ask good questions, and develop successful study habits which will help them do well in the future and excel in more than the topics I am tutoring them in. I hope to make the lessons fun and engaging, especially for students who are struggling so they have the motivation they need to succeed in school.
