Communication is vital in our world and learning a new language opens doors to endless new people, culture, travels, adventures, experiences and opportunities! I would love to help you take the next steps in your journey toward those goals.
I minored in Spanish at university which gave me the life-changing experience to study abroad in Mallorca, Spain for 5 months. A few years after that, I was presented with the opportunity to live in South Korea and teach English as a Second Language (ESL) for 5 years to students ranging from 3 year olds to adult business-people and everything in between. I prefer to focus on practical, conversational abilities for my students (rather than nit-picky grammar and memorization), but will be thrilled to help you achieve your goals no matter what they may be.
My hobbies include Ultimate (Frisbee), Running, Rock Climbing, hiking and anything else outdoors. Hope to work with you soon!

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that the teachers should serve as a guide - opening doors for students and equipping them with the necessary tools, but never shoving them through.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
The first lesson is all about assessing the student’s interests, goals, ability level and personal learning style.
