If you want to enroll in the Oklahoma City University School of Law and are preparing to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), 大象传媒 can help you maximize your Oklahoma City LSAT preparation efforts in several different ways. Whether you've been out of school building your resume or you're approaching college graduation and you're ready to jump right into law school, preparing adequately for the LSAT is one of the most important things you can do to secure your goal.
The LSAT is the only graduate admissions exam which is accepted by all ABA-accredited law schools as well as all Canadian common law schools. The admissions officers for these schools will consider your scores carefully before deciding whether or not to admit you to their program. The test is highly regarded for its accuracy in predicting which students will thrive in law school. To learn more about what is covered on the LSAT and how 大象传媒 can help find Oklahoma City LSAT prep, keep reading.
What can Oklahoma City LSAT prep cover?
There are four sections on the LSAT: Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Analytical Reasoning, and Writing. Altogether the sections of the LSAT take about 3 hours to finish. The first three must be completed at the same time. The Writing portion must be completed within one year of the test date of the first portion.
When you arrive at the testing center to take the first three sections of the LSAT, you will be given a tablet device. This device has a few features you don't usually see in standardized testing. It will alert you when you have only 5 minutes left for an individual section. The alert function is invaluable if appropriately leveraged. You see, there is no penalty for making an educated guess for an answer. If you arrive at the last five minutes of a section and haven't completed all of the questions, you can quickly make your way through them. Since all you have to do is tap the appropriate multiple choice answer to make your choice, it's easy to move quickly if you know you don't have much time left. However, if you've spent an adequate amount of time preparing for the LSAT with the help of a skilled instructor, you may finish with time to spare.
Another useful feature of this testing format is the highlighting function, which makes it easy to mark significant passages as you're reading. This can be especially useful in the Reading Comprehension and Analytical Reasoning sections of the test where you will encounter numerous reading passages. Each of these segments has a time limit of 35 minutes. Some of the skills and concepts you may want to review as you prepare for them include identifying the main idea, inferring information, analogies, and reasoning with conditional statements.
In the Logical Reasoning section of the exam, you may find yourself appreciative of the flagging feature of the testing platform. If you come to a problem you know will eat up a lot of your time, you can flag it and return to it. This portion of the LSAT has two sections for which you will have a total of 70 minutes. Some of the skills and concepts you may want to review before test day include recognizing parts of arguments, evaluating additional evidence and the implications associated with it, drawing conclusions, recognizing patterns of reasoning, and identifying flaws in an argument.
The Writing portion of the LSAT is the only one which is not scored. Do not let this lull you into complacency when it comes to refining and perfecting your writing technique. Your response in this section is sent to the colleges you apply to, and it's more important than the lack of score may lead you to believe. It is during this section of the LSAT that you will have the opportunity to highlight both your aptitude for presenting an argument and your writing talent. Working with a private instructor could help you hone the skills you need for this section.
How can an Oklahoma City LSAT prep class help me prepare for the test?
An LSAT prep class gives you access to a skilled instructor, a peer group that can offer support and motivation, and a structured exam review that has been created by experts. When you enroll in a class, you are giving yourself a significant advantage over students who try to create their own study regimen and hope to find the time to implement it in between other obligations.
You can choose a two-week or a four-week class, depending on the level of preparation you wish to undertake. All of the classes are held in a secure digital environment, which makes it easy to attend. While the learning platform may be online, the classroom setting will feel very familiar. Your teacher will deliver the lesson and then may encourage group participation in a variety of ways to facilitate a deeper understanding of the material. During this time, your teacher may also spend time answering individual questions.
How is working with an Oklahoma City LSAT tutor different from taking a course?
When you take an Oklahoma City LSAT prep course, you will have a stellar instructor, but you will not have their undivided attention. Instructors in a course must deliver the prescribed content to ensure all students receive access to the material they will need before the LSAT. With so many responsibilities, there is almost no time for personalized instruction. A personal tutor, on the other hand, can create lessons for you with your learning style, academic needs, and LSAT goals in mind. You can also meet in person or online, so private instruction is just as convenient as a prep course.
How can I get started with the right Oklahoma City LSAT prep solution for me?
If you're ready to give yourself the academic support you deserve, let 大象传媒 help you identify and get started with the right Oklahoma City LSAT prep solution for your learning needs. Whether you want to review for the exam in a group setting or with a private tutor, we can help you take the first step in working towards the LSAT. Contact 大象传媒 now to begin immediately.
