I have particular experience and expertise in tutoring math (of all levels) and SAT...

IB Mathematics HL Tutoring FAQ
International Baccalaureate courses, also known as IB courses, focus on helping students like you approach an academically rigorous course of study in a way that is both far-reaching and in-depth. These classes generally present complex material, but guide students to see how various concepts are connected to day-to-day experiences and the lives of people around the world. While graduating high school with an IB Diploma is prestigious and can increase your chances of entering a top-tier college or university, it is also a rigorous and overwhelming process. While only the most exceptional of individuals are able to participate in an IB program, that doesn't mean that they don't struggle to complete their studies with high marks. If you are an IB student who has difficulty keeping up with the fast pace of IB Mathematics HL, or you simply want to broaden your knowledge of the subject as a whole, you could benefit from working under the assistance of an experienced tutor.
If you are considering seeking private tutoring for your IB Mathematics HL class, 大象传媒 can help connect you to knowledgeable instructors in your area. By working in a one-on-one environment with an IB Mathematics HL instructor, you are able to have the opportunity to achieve a fuller and richer understanding of the material. IB Mathematics HL courses cover a variety of mathematical concepts, including algebraic functions, trigonometry, statistics, probability, matrices, calculus, and differential equations. A personalized approach allows students to gain proficiency with the figures and formulae used, as well as to strengthen their skills in researching, thinking creatively, and learning independently. These higher-level skills are at the core of the IB Mathematics curriculum. Such skills can be very challenging to develop without support, but it is precisely these skills that give IB students such a solid footing as they continue their education. Working with a private tutor allows you to focus on just those aspects of the course that you find to be most challenging at any given time. Students who commit to such an academically rigorous program are generally there because they are deeply interested in the subjects covered. Indeed, many students who pursue the higher-level mathematics program go on to major in a related field of study at the college level, such as engineering, physics, or pure mathematics. It's only natural, then, that such students might seek out IB Mathematics HL tutoring, not just for assistance when they have trouble with the course's content, but also for inspiration and enrichment when they are fascinated with a topic.
Unlike traditional education in the classroom, where a teacher is required to manage between 15 to 30 students, working with a private tutor allows you to get a one-on-one approach to learning. Your tutor is dedicated to meeting your academic needs, while presenting material in a way that is both exciting and engaging. Because every course is centered on your success, your private tutor will work hard to ensure that the learning process is convenient and comfortable for you.
If you are looking to master the concepts presented in your particular course, then IB Mathematics HL tutoring is a great option. From computational fluency to problem-solving strategies, private tutors offer guidance that can help you to make the most of your time in the IB program. By contacting 大象传媒 today and asking to receive help finding a private tutor in your area, you can begin working towards your educational goals. You will be able to choose between studying through in-person tutoring sessions, or participating in the face-to-face online tutoring program through the live learning platform. Whatever your preferences are, we at 大象传媒 can help you find a tutor who can meet your needs and help you along the road to success.

Recent IB Mathematics HL Tutoring Session Notes
The student and I reviewed for his upcoming final exam in Math. Topics included trigonometry, algebra, vectors, and calculus. Yesterday, we focused primarily on the calculus portion of the exam, which tests differentiation, integration, and using differential equations. We practiced multiple methods of integration and general approach techniques for solving integrals.
The student had two tests that we went over. She's missed some school time due to illness. She has been going to her teacher for extra help. She also has another test coming up within the week. We went over some of the new material she is learning this week on standard deviation. In another week or so, after another tutoring session and extra help, I feel she will be caught up. She seems to pick up on the material quickly.
We worked through a number of practice problems involving complex numbers, both in Cartesian and modulus-argument form, drawing Argand diagrams, and applying De Moivre's theorem. We also solved problems finding the roots and complex roots of polynomial equations.
The student has a strong grasp on radicals, factorizations, expansion, and statistics. She will need to review some of the topics covered earlier in the semester (i.e. coordinate geometry). For our next session, we will focus on the most challenging topics: matrices and problems involving bearings and law of sines/cosines.
